Asking Price:
The most important item in the listing contract is the asking price of
your house. Make sure the price is not too high, or too low. It should be inline with
the local real estate market. Personal Property: You will need to disclose what, if any, personal property will be sold with the house. Personal property you may want to sell is the refrigerator, washer/dryer, pool table, etc. Real Property: There may be some items considered real property that you do not intend on selling with the house. Real property refers to any items that are attached to the house such as the oven, stove, light fixtures (chandelier), etc. If you plan to keep any of these items, be sure they are outlined in the listing contract. Real Estate Commission: In most instances, a seller pays 6% in commissions; 3% goes to the listing agent, and the rest goes to the buyer’s agent. Commissions are negotiable, however quality of service may decrease with a reduced commission. |
